Boston Culture: Where did you from/ grow up? Rez Oner: I was born in Brooklyn NY and moved to NH at the age of 13. Upbringing was rough , so my mom brought us to NH for a better lifestyle.
Boston Culture: How did you get your name?
Rez Oner: When I was younger that was the name I tagged and it ended up sticking. Boston Culture: Talk to us about "Slide" How did you link with Stizzy and came up with the concept for the visual?
Rez Oner: I met Stizzy through my friend PELPA, owner of PLGQ apparel . When we linked up we just ended up up doing everything off the top of the head. We didn’t have a plan laid it, it just all played out perfect.
Boston Culture : When did you realize you had a passion for Directing?
Rez Oner: well I started off with photography when my daughter was born and gradually got into music videos when my friend PELPA was doing music. i just been self taught since then.
Boston Culture: What do you dislike about the art world/film industry?
Rez Oner: what I dislike about the industry is how videos today lack new ideas and concepts . Boston Culture: Who or what are some of your biggest influences?
Rez Oner: PELPA has been a big influence for me in the film making. He allowed me to start off and grow with him. Boston Culture: Tell us about your goals for 2021. Both personal and business.
Rez Oner: My goals this year is to make more money, take care of my family and for my business to grow in the industry. Also to be able to learn new things to put towards future work. Boston Culture: Did the pandemic affect any of your plans?
Rez Oner: No
