FFOD Interview Q&A

Boston Culture: There seems to be a Cultural influence in your events, merch, etc. How has the culture impacted you?

FFOD: Thank you for having me BC and Thank you for asking this question. Here at FFOD, we believe that freedom of speech for the artist matters, we know with today’s society, and everything being so closely monitored by everyone, we forget that we can agree to disagree and still be able to work together and artists see that as well. That’s what we are about and that’s what Flow Free OrDie spotlights with our events, merch and our brand overall and I believe that’s what impacted not just me but everyone who’s been supporting us.

Boston Culture: Talk to us about FFOD Beanie, how did the idea and design come about?

FFOD: Oh Man the FFOD Beanies! Those things are HOT right now, well it eventually started with the dad hats during the summer, when launched a series of dad hats with different color options and it was a smash! Since the seasons were changing, we wanted to switch our focus to winter apparel and that’s where the beanies came about, we felt that we can switch that same focus to our beanies in providing different options, not sure about you but personally I love wearing beanies, and It was the same thing for a lot of people, so when we decided to launch it, it was just perfect timing.

The idea behind was us basically trying out different things and we were able to make it work. Sometimes overthinking things can be your worst enemy where keeping it simple is just the way to go!

Boston Culture: Talk to us about the event with don Q, how did that relationship come about?

FFOD: The event with Don Q was called Barfest, Barfest is FFOD’s Marquee event, like Wrestlemania for WWE. Don Q was our first marquee name for Barfest, the turnout was cool, could have been better could have been worst, but nonetheless shout out to Don Q and the whole Highbridge for holdin’ it down showing class and professionalism. The relationship is strictly just business, I had emailed his peoples went through a few numbers put it in ink and the rest was history. I absolutely will work them again if the opportunity presents itself.

Boston Culture: How did the chemistry between you and your team? Was it difficult in the beginning throwing events?

FFOD: The chemistry between my team and I, I would say it’s a balance. Especially knowing how I am I can be very stubborn, rude, in my head a lot, My team allows me to be me but also does not hesitate if I’m wrong in any level or provide feedback on what we can do better on every level and I definitely need that. Although I get stuck in my own head I do come at things with an open mind if that means it will help the growth of the brand.  In the beginning yea it was challenging, and some people came and went but the ones who stayed they see the vision and believe in it and that’s all I can ask for.

Boston Culture: Which other artists would you like to collaborate with FFOD?

FFOD: I’m open to collaborating with all different types of Artists from all genres, here at FFOD we don’t want to box ourselves in with just one genre we feel since music is a collaborative experience then doing shows should be the same.

Boston Culture: Who are your musical influences?

FFOD: What a great question, I think I would say the era that influence me the most was between the years of 1995-2010, From Biggie, Pac, Nas, DMX, LL cool J, OutKast, Jay-z to Dipset, G-unit, State Property and all the artists in between, (Kanye, Luda, Wayne, etc) and of course me being Hispanic the era of Reggaeton was in the early 2000’s was something crazy!

Boston Culture: Where do you see yourself in 5 years.

FFOD: In a perfect world, I see myself still grinding and growing my platform more and more, working with some of the bigger names in the music industry and having a bigger influence as an online platform and my team right there with me every step of the way.

Boston Culture: What’s your greatest accomplishment in your promotion career? We’re eager to know

FFOD: Right now, at this moment, was promoting the Millyz show in Manchester last year. That opened my eyes to endless possibilities even though we planned it, to see the plan get executed the way it did and have a positive night through and through was a beautiful thing!

Boston Culture: Since you’ve been rising in New England with your events, is there anything in the future that we should be on the lookout for?

FFOD: I can’t say much right now on what’s coming, but I can say is that BE READY for future announcements that will blow your mind! FFOD 2023!
