Boston's Own: Fellz

Meet rapper and fashion creative Fellz, who has used different parts of his upbringing to be shown in all aspects of what he creates. Fellz has been on an excellent run with the sound he creates and what he puts out. With his upcoming album, If I Die Tomorrow, he tells us about the creative process and journey leading up to it. Read below to find out more.

Boston Culture: Where did you grow up? How has this influenced your music?

I grew up in Boston, moved a lot around Hyde Park and Jamaica Plain. The art and music culture is very big in Boston which contributed to my style.

Boston Culture: What should your fans expect from this upcoming project?

Fans should expect to feel all emotions with this album. From feeling good to sad and angry. It also has a very commercial element to it.

Boston Culture: Were there any hardships that you encountered while writing this project?

From friends getting locked up to people dying and even COVID delaying the process, we as a team dealt with a lot of things through this whole project build up.

Boston Culture: Do you produce your own music? Or did you have any collaborations with any local producers?

I work with a bunch of producers. One of the main ones being Ksullygotit with Do Over Don’t Studios.

Boston Cultures: Are there any other plans for you after you drop this project?

We already have a few albums worth of music lined up to drop a bit after we drop the album “If I Die Tomorrow” in January.

Boston Culture: You are also a part of a clothing brand called The Money Family Clothing. What got you into fashion?

What really got me into fashion was the freedom it gives you. Was really into graffiti growing up and it’s mixed with fashion, music, and art so it helped mold me.

Boston Culture: Are there any fashion trends that you dislike?

I like a lot of fashion trends so I wouldn’t say I dislike any, just a few things I personally wouldn’t rock with.

Boston Culture: Is there anything else that you would like to tell us? Anything to be on the lookout for?

We have a lot of new work on the way after this album, over 100 songs in the tuck so slowing down is not something I see us as a team doing anytime soon.
