S-KO shows us a part of his Latino culture through his music and how much it really influences him. With his new single, Your Mistake, we can hear a strong sense of confidence as he spits throughout it. The music video along with the new single demonstrates that S-KO is not afraid to take risks. Read below to find out more about this up and coming rapper.

Boston Culture: With the music video of “Your Mistake” out , what was your inspiration behind the creation of it?

S-KO: I feel like I'm a very underrated and I want people from the city to see I'm not just a regular artist and sometimes you just have to stop traffic for people to notice.

Boston Culture: Causing traffic on Zakim bridge is a very bold move, what did that make you feel afterwards?

S-KO: I was excited & nervous at the same time because I was happy everything went smooth & we didn’t cause any accidents.

'Your Mistake' out now on all platforms.

Boston Culture: What is the inspiration behind your name?

S-KO: My last name is Escobar & I used to call myself Esko barz but eventually I switched up the spelling because I am different.

Boston Culture: Coming from Latino descent, how does this impact how you create music?

S-KO: I believe it makes me very diverse & it gives me a perspective on both cultures.

Boston Culture: What exactly about your culture has shaped the person you are today?

S-KO: Before I was born, my mom crossed the border to give me a better life. My mom's sacrifices is the reason why I am who I am.

Boston Culture: If you could make an album with any producer and artist of your choosing, who would it be?

S-KO: Latin Producer Tainy & Latin Artist Jhay Cortez

Boston Culture: How do you think you can change the Boston music scene? How are you different from everyone else?

S-KO: I believe I can help the latin hip-hop & urban scene because I do a spanish and english mix in my music. You guys will soon see.

Boston Culture: Do you have anything coming up that you want to let your followers know? We are excited to know!

S-KO: I'm actually in the process of opening my 1st barbershop “The People’s Barber Lounge” located in Watertown next to the Arsenal mall. Stay tuned “Orgullo” the album coming soon.
